Seeing data presented in a well-formatted visual presentation is a beautiful thing. The NYTimes recently released a “peek” into the Netflix queue patterns in major cities across the world. Of course, I checked out Chicago’s data map first. Knowing the demographics of the city quite well, the data is evident when viewing a few specific movie titles in comparison to the region of the city (in Chicago’s case, Southside, Northside and Westside). A few movies in particular stood out with their high contrast patterns depending on which side of Madison Street we’re looking at:
