The third season kicked off late last week and has reminded me how much I missed watching. The new season couldn’t have come soon enough.

Layer Tennis Season 3

Layer tennis is back, hands down my favorite design-nerdy Internet “web-sport.” The third season kicked off this past Friday with two heavyweights battling it out, Nicolas Felton up against Khoi Vinh, both hailing from NYC. The expectations were high, and both contestants came out swinging with beautiful typography, abstract designs and even a little smack talk towards the end. While this match was only exhibition, it’s good to see the new season kicked off in such high fashion.
