I can always appreciate good package design; it convinces me to buy things I probably wouldn’t need.

Lovely Package Design
Jan 9, 2012
I’ve always been fascinated with art of package design, and the process of trying to make a product stand out from the vast amount of competing design. Not only do I think that the design of the package shows overall commitment to the brand, I think it’s worth noting that larger companies are now moving towards clearer, user-friendly design instead of just flashiness. I think a good indicator of this is over at two blogs I follow, Brand New and Lovely Package.
I also remember a few months ago this minimalist comparison of existing package design made rounds on the web, where I think most people agreed; the more minimal route was preferred. Below I’m showing a real world example, and I know it’s only some olive oil but I think I’d buy this just to store on my kitchen counter.
