The Hill
Feb 15, 2010
“The Hill” I’m describing here is the one by Montrose Harbor, on Chicago’s northside. Anyone who has been to this area should be familiar with it, it’s become a gathering point of some sorts depending on what day it is. As a former resident of the area living on Irving Park & Lakeshore, I used to jog up and down this hill a few times a week for a good number of years. I was always fond of this park in particular because of its simplicity and it being a nice break from the crowds at North Ave. beach, especially during the Summer months. Paul manages to capture it beautifully.
“For the past 2 years I have visited a beautiful mound of earth that I have come to call “the hill.” Each time I have come to the hill a new story is told to me as if the hill is my stage and the locals are the actors in this daily play.”
