The Noun Project’s mission is simple: “sharing, celebrating and enhancing the world’s visual language”. Here you can find collections of highly recognizable symbols by browsing through category or search features. I’ve found these perfect for projects in need of some simple, high-quality iconography. While some symbols are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution, most seem to fall under Public Domain, meaning no attribution is necessary. Best of all, they’re all free to use.
